1.Take 20 minutes or so to sit somewhere outside close my eyes and breathe deep. I think about all the good things in my life.
2. I tickle my daughter and two sons..a childs laughter always makes me smile.
3. I throughly enjoy my Mt. Dew everyday. Its my coffee.
4. I eat one " naughty" thinga a day.
5. I do something completely random, and unplanned..I have eaten Ice cream in a park at 30 degrees out..my sons and I had a great time..
6. I read comics..
7. If all else fails I sit on the couch put my feet up and listen to some Old Time Radio Comedy.

well I had the same problem and here is the best advice i got. For every bad thing think of a good thing that comes with it. Never dwell on the bad stuff, whats the point? It's done its over with there no point for it to bring you down anymore. Dont focus to much on the future or the past. Last but maybe the best dont let the small things ruin your day. I know how it is you wake up in the morning and you think to yourself man... this day is really going to suck. DONT!! the best thing you could do for yourself is wake up telling your self I'm going to have a good day no matter what. lol and if you aren't fake it it puts the people around you in a good mood which in turn brings you up.

last of all advice you have to ask yourself. What benefit do you get out of being unhappy? is there a reason your keeping yourself from it?

I go out of my way to be nice to everybody,even the grumpy ones. It becomes a habit of just being cheerful. Its also fun because you get to irritate people who for no reason want to be hateful to everyone.

At my age, just waking up in the morning pretty much does the trick for me (lol)
