If your kids are grown then they can decide for themselves now whether or not they want to see you. It's now out of your wifes hands, & the courts hands as well.
Contact them, & let them know your door is open to them. If they have issues with you, then tell them how willing you are to work things out, & bring them closure on those issues.
It's never too late.

Contact them.
Tell them that you have always loved them and that you will be there for them if they ever need you or just want to talk.
Show them the court documents so that they know that you did try to fight to see them. IT might be a shock for them but they WILL come around.
DO apologize to them for not fighting her more
but dont talk about your ex (even though she was a Bytch). She was all they knew for the past 13 years so she has that over you FOR NOW!
go slow but do go!
THey deserve to know that they are loved by BOTH parents.
who knows, you might be able to make up for lost time with YOUR NEW GRANDKIDS!

You don't start out defending your lack of actions or bad mouth your X wife. If they are mature, you can only ask them for some time for casual discussions and not force yourself on them or claim what right you have. Let them adjust to you slowly. Eventually they might assess you independently and slowly let you back in. But don't feel bad if they don;t.
