Really I agree with those who dislike this appalling habit of people making normal names unspellable just to be different - Kyeleeah instead of Kylie, you know - and made-up names are usually just tacky. Pick something old, something with some history to it and some class. Go through French history books, or the history of any country, and find something old, unusual, distinguished, and yet still fairly normal.

The French, in earlier times, had the most wonderful first names.

I really liked the review, Brooklyn. I love that for a girl's name, my cousin who is a boy has the name Joesph Brooks. It's hard to suggest names when you don't know any details. Just to give you an example to come up with your own unique name check this out, Two of my cousins are brothers, Their names are Dalton Cole and Colby Gauge. They have a sister named Crystal Nicole and she had a baby. She named him Colton Keith, Pretty neat huh. It's like a combination of her brothers' names. I also have cousins named Sebastian, Dakota, Hoyt, Elton. My family is crazy about names. I could go and on. One of my cousin's middle names is Peachred, weird huh. One of my sisters is named Frankie, another named Delta Dana. You just have to think, it takes time, but you'll get it.

Here's a few I like: Raegen, Lincoln (I once knew a girl name this and I LOVED it, it's so unique!), Tristain, Liberty, Burgin (bur- g-in --as is again), Grier, Emmalynn, Danalee, Robden, Ryanna(Ry-ah-nah), Taylyn, Chanler, Gracelyn. These are just unique names that some I've heard of and loved, or though wow, I wish I had a unique name like that! When it comes to unique names, people either love them or hate them. And congratulations on expecting.

I like the name Lydia which is fairly normal but not common. I would have named my own daughter this if I had had a girl. I would like to comment about unusual names and suggest you read the Dear Abby letters written by people who hated their really unusual names. No one ever said pronounced or even got their name right and the name seem to outshine their own personality. There should be a middle ground when it comes to naming our kids. Best of Luck to You. Lydia Leigh Ann
