I am moving a one-bedroom locally and would like to know if you have good recommendation or experience with movers. I am trying to find one on Craig's list but not sure who to choose from. Please help.

Not sure about cost but check the movers out with the Better Business Bureau, it could make things alot easier on you. So, you dont get stuck with a scam moving company.

Found this http://www.u-savemoving.com/

They charge eighty-five dollars per hour in the greater Seattle area, and ninety dollars per hour outside the local zone. That includes two experienced movers, a large moving truck, and all the necessary equipment to complete your upcoming move.

I'd be careful about finding movers on craigslist. You're talking about trusting someone with all of your belongings and it's not cheap so it's smart to be cautious. http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams You'll have better luck contacting professional movers locally since they have to be licensed, insured, etc. Here's one in Seattle http://crosscountrymovingcompanies.biz/seattle-wa The main thing is to make sure they are licensed and experienced--it's good advice to get some recommendations too if you can.

I know exactly what your talking about! The cheapest was $400.00 to just move a sofa..I finally asked some teenagers in the area if they would like to earn some money. and we had fun doing it!
