I wanna lose my fat and build more muscle, will using a weight vest while walking and running help me? I'm a 16 year old male I'm 5'7" and weigh 175 pounds. Is using one a good idea?

It's not a bad idea as long as you don't overdo it. Try doing squats for a while at first. They will build your leg muscles. Try weightlifting for your upper body.

Dont do it, I wore a 25lb vest trying to lose weight. It totally wrecked my lower back. While not paying attention to my posture I was "hunching" over. Eventually it caused my lower l3-l4 to become dislocated. The pain was terrible I could not even sit up.
This was when I was 19.
Wear ankle weights or wrist weights instead.
If you want to bulk up, eat lots and hit the weights.

Just cut calories and dont eat after 9pm . You are very close to ideal weight. do push ups and sit ups everyday, that will help alot.
