im a 20pct military veteran, disabled veteran and when i was discharged formt he navy,i was told i was allowed a free scholarship thru college, but with my kids i had to work to make sure they were able to complete there scholling, now that they are are about proceed to college, i am wondering if i can pass that scholarship to my kids now? does anyone know that answer?

I know they were talking about it on AFN news, and on the pentagon channel. I don't have a definate answer for you but go to www.military.com They always have the updates and changes that are always being made.

If you did not use your GI Bill within the first 10 years you were out you lost it. The only the way your kids will receive any kind of allotment such as Chapter 35 you have to be 100% disabled. Check with your Regional Veterans Administration and also double check through a Vet Center that is not affiliated with the VA. The Veteran's Tech at a college usually doesn't know the details of allotments. Because there were different types of allotments offered to GI's over the years.
