I'm looking to purchase a swimsuit that my daughter can have fun at the beach in without constantly having to pull at the bottom or top to keep them in place. She's sixteen so she wants something cute, not something that'll make her look like an old lady. On the other hand, she's not trying to look like a centerfold model as well. She just wants a flattering, affordable, cute, FUNCTIONAL swimsuit. Any ideas on where to look?

I would try Tj maxx or Marshall, Ross one of those that also sells designers for cheaper prices. They are good quality and most likely they are only one season old, which really who can tell... also they have well constructed shape and hems , great materials and fully lined ,so there is no risk of see trough, falling or pulling. I had bought cute separates at JC peenney from OP and they work just fine still ahve them too for a couple of years. Now i dont know if now is to early to start looking for swimsuits but is worth the try. Good luck

It is natural for your daughter to pull away at this time in her life. She is just discovering who she is as a woman and that is new territory for her to share with you. If you sincerely have a good relationship she will come to you when she needs to. After sixteen years you pretty much know her so relax. You have raised a good kid who will turn into a good woman. It is good to see father's actually in the picture. Good Luck

target can have some real good ones, or for extreme functional-ness go to a store for swim teams. they are modest and you wouldn't have to worry about tugging etc. They've got some really cute prints too.
