My company had a fundraiser where we donated our accrued sick pay to help needy. We gave up our sick days, and the company gave the money to the charity. It's legal and everything, but the question is whether your company will allow it. Ask someone in Human Resources.

Check your employee handbook or talk to someone in your HR department.
