I would buy a money order or cashier's check. The post office handles air mail so send it from there.

You put in in an envelope, however, putting cash in an envelope is not very safe; people can see through the envelope and steal the letter. The best way to do so is to send a check and endorse in on the back with "FOR DEPOSIT ONLY" on it. Hope this helps!

make sure you write "contains cash" on the outside of the envelope so postal employees will know to take "extra special care"...you know what I'm saying
