Initialize Direct 3D ....my comp says it can't! Why not?

Great answer C-man! I have installed the latest Direct X stuff and all I can tell you about my computer is that it's running Windows XP - Version 2002, service pack 2. Intel R, Celeron (R) CPU 2.80GHz, 2.81 GHz, 480 MB or RAM

Maybe you need to reinstall DirectX. Maybe your video card doesn't support some required hardware feature. Not much anyone can suggest if we don't know what type of computer, video card, operating system you have...
