that word always gets underlined when I type it in MS Word. it's annoying!

I didn't know what the word meant, so I searched wikipedia... and there it is...

I just found it in Yahoo reference dictionary so it is a word. I have and use MS Word also because I am so used to it but you have to realize it is pretty old. That could be the reason it is not recognizing it as a word.

As an avid reader who has never before encountered the word---I have to object that your word exists.
Unless it is in a very narrow field, it should be in SOME dictionary....
