Depends on the type of race.
If its longer than a qtr mile...then the Silverado with higher top end speed.
If its a regular qtr...then the Lotus.
Off road...the Silverado all the way.

How long of a race the lotus would win a shorter race but the pickup would win a longer race because it has a v8 and a higher top speed than the lotus which may be lighter but only has a puny 1.8 4 cylinder engine. So the lotus would win a short distance straight away race but the Chevy could catch it in a longer race.

I've test driven the Silverado SS. Its not really that fast. I would say a well-tuned GT Mustang could catch it.
Now a Ford Lightning? Thats another story. And no, I'm NOT a ford lover.

The Cadillac Escalade. The pickup has a 0-60 of 7.3 sec, and the Cadillac has a 0-60 of about 6.3 sec. Go to Youtube, and type in "supercharged yukon denali vs" you'll be surprised
