Our identity is not safe at all. I can go to my court house and get information on my neighbors house, and their social is on the information. I have become quiet an expert on identity theft because I want to help people protect themselves. you can not prevent it, but you can protect yourself. Ther is more then just credit identity theft and that is what people do not realize. I can share some information with you, if you are looking for a way to protect yourself. I became a member of identity theft shield and I felt so secure that I want to share it with everyone, so I became an associate. This has allowed me to understand the seriousness of id theft and why I should help protect innocent people!

No a whole lot you can do everything you do online is visible to someone somewhere.
I personally don't use plastic, nor do I bank online, every piece of mail with my name on it is shredded and no I don't even check e-mail from accounts like yahoo or hotmail.
Am I paranoid? I've already been a victim of identity theft and it cost me a lot to disprove it all.

Know what your doing and what you are giving to who. Every site with a "we are secured" logo might not really be secure. Try to stay to popular sites such as Amazon and eBay. Im not saying not to do business with other companies but if you are really paranoid, look up reviews about other websites!

KEEP RECEIPTS! either from a store or online, so that you can prove you already paid for something!

When using a credit card in real life, the same goes: know where you are using your card.
