The song I am searching for sounds like jazz and is played with trumpets, it was the background music in a lincoln automobile commercial a few years ago.

It might be The Sidewinder, by Lee Morgan.
That song was on a car commercial during the super bowl when it was new (back in the 1960's). It does have a catchy melody too.It was a very popular song for jazz. It made the pop charts. It could have been a Lincoln commercial back then, and they still have the rights. Also, Lee Morgan Plays trumpet. There was also Joe Henderson on sax and rhythm section.
