I was with a guy for a few years and we have a son together and lately I've been dreaming about him all the time. We are so happy and so in love. The thing is, is that i've been married now for almost 3 years and I haven't talked to this guy for almost 4 yrs. I just keep dreaming about him and want to talk to him now but have no way of getting ahold of him. His new girlfriend won't allow him to see his son so we don't have any contact with him. The last time he saw his son was under the condition that I didn't find out where they lived cuz I think she's scared that I might stalk him or something...lol. I really want to talk to him though.

Dreams are not meant to be taken literally. Your dream is your subconscious trying to work through a problem you are not facing or are yet to solve in your life. The characters in your dream are just representations to help your conscious mind understand the problem . Just because you dream you are happy with your ex doesn't mean you secretly want to get back with him, it just means you wish that the good things from that part of your life were now in your current relationship. Possibly you worry about your son not having a relationship with his birth father, or that your current husband is not being the father to your son you want him to be. Maybe you feel that your husband is rejecting your son. It does not mean you wish you were back with your ex or even that you want to talk to your ex, it probably means you want to talk to your husband about his relationship with your son, and you wish it was better.

Well, since you two have a kid together I think he should be allowed to see his son. Maybe you are dreaming about him b/c subconciously you want him in your life (even just for youe son.) Try to make contact with him, and don't let this girl to stand in the way of your son having his dad in his life.

Yes! you should go to your local book store and see if they have a book on what dreams mean. I have dreamed about my ex we would set and talk the thing we could never do in real life!! Your son should see his father.

That is strange that his girlfriend will not allow him to see his son , and he lets her control him like that , that's very weird.Contact his friends or family and pass on a letter through them , if he wants to talk to you he will be able to then. you should not keep this a secret from your present husband though. If you want to pursue other relationships then split up first.

well in reality check here, you can't be happy with your husband if you are constantly wanting your ex but if your ex is not caring enough to want to see his son just because of a immature girlfriend that he is then he really isn't worth wasting your time on and i am pretty sure that if your husband knew that you are whining over your ex he would probably be very upset and mad. if you care about him at all then try to forget your ex.

Usually dreams like this is your mind trying to fulfill desires you hold deep in your heart but can't seem to be able to carry out.

Leave it alone You are married now and what do you think you are going to accomplish by seeing or talking to this guy again? Be happy with what you have and let the past go.

you probably only want what you think you had, and if you did talk to him again you will probably just realize that you were not being realistic...it is natural to want to be one of those families with mom, dad, and kid, but if he hasnt seen his kid in that long why would you really want him...and besides its a fantasy, and fantasies really suck when they become reality... so all and all...
dreaming about him is only natural... but just leave it at that...
