It's time to love and support you and your children completely. You dont need a life that you live in fear of when he will change. You are worthy of being treated with kindness always, all the time, not some of the time, not even 95% or 99% of the time. No one who hurts you physically or with words has your best interest at heart. You do not need to take care of him. It is natural that you feel for him because you care about people and you love him. But, Your children need you more because you want them to grow up knowing how to treat people with kindness. Trust in you, you deserve the best for your family. Don't take any more of this abuse. In order for him to change he needs to love who he is, and he needs to go through that process alone. I can guarantee that he is not going to realise it straight away but he will in time, but while you are there and he is getting your love he will not work on his stuff. It's necessary to support you now especially with your new little one. I know, i've been there. I also want to say that my son is almost 3 1/2 years old and I raised him from birth. And choosing what i did was the best decision i made for my son and I so that we could live a peaceful life that is enjoyable every day. I may not have someone right now that i share it with but i'm grateful for what we have and the bond we have. I love life and i love being a mum and though i never anticipated that his father and i would go our separate ways, it was what was needed. When you are in a relationship you are co-creating every day. If your partner is distructive to himself, to you, to others it is hard to have a life that is going to be one you enjoy living. It's best to come back to yourself and decide what sort of life you want to be living and then only let someone into your life that is going to match what you want in your life. Raise your standards to the highest level for you. And then just be you, and you will attract the most beautiful person that matches you and your beauty. I now have incredible friends that are males that are genuine and kind hearted. And one day soon I know that I will meet an incredible man, but now life is too much fun, i'm doing the work i love, enjoying my son and seeing my family and friends. I truly can't wait to share it with someone who loves and values who he is and enjoys my company and is supportive of my son's growth and is a wonderful role model naturally without trying to be.
