Don't worry, it only has been six months, and besides it may not be you who can't get pregnant. It took my mom five years to have me and all along it wasn't her. Her first marriage blamed her, then with my dad it took only nine months and here I am

5 months isn't that long. It is so silly but the harder you try and the more you stress about it the longer it takes. If you are just casually trying to get pregnant or you "give up" but don't go back on birth control then a lot of time it works better.

There is no reason why gastroschisis would complicate you getting pregnant. Heck, the problem could be with your husband.

Just sit back and enjoy trying ... After 12 months see your doctor to get tests started.

Good Luck.

Don't get yourself bothered trying to get pregnant. It will only stress you and that hurts you while trying to conceive. Time will give you a child when the time is ready. Just keep your head up and trust God. In recent studies, some sex postions are hitting the charts and helping parents conceive. The missionary position, rear entry(doggy style) and lying side by side have been the most effective ways to get pregnant. It allows for deepest penetration and makes sperm closer to the cervix. Next time, try elevation your hips with a pillow so your cervix is exposed to the maximum amount of sperm. Remain in bed for up to half an hour following intercourse, perferable on your back and again, with a pillow under your pelvic region. This provides the sperm with additional travel time up to the fallopian tube along with the help of gravity. Good luck!

It can take up to a year or even more to get pregnant, even if all is working fine! (it took hubby and me 11 months to concieve our last child!) Just relax, eat healthily, take vitamins and make sure you are having sex on your fertile days (usually days 14 - 16 of your cycle.) It may be worth discussing it with your doctor also.
