Cloud and Tifa, I guess I would say that because 7 was my favorite and Tifa and Cloud had a deep relationship in thier childhood days albeit Cloud was oblivious 2 Tifas feelings about him but their story began long before they met back up there was a connection.
FF 8 I agree Squal and Rinoa, FF9 didnt care for..2 cartoonish just couldnt get into it, Havent had the chance 2 finish 10 or even start 10-2, FF12 Vaan and Penelo, basically same reason as Cloud and Tifa, Bashe and Ashe because of their ties with royalty, and Baltheir and Fran cause of the all the crap they go through...yes Baltheir has his major ties with the empire but even still he is best suited with Fran for not so obvious reasons.

Rinoa Heartilly and Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy 8 I believe. Or Tidus and Yuna from Final Fantasy 10.
