Time to get a new keyboard. Once the sugar gets into the internal workings, you are screwed unless you want to spend hours cleaning every part. They aren't that expensive are they?

If you can open your keyboard (there should be screws there). you should be seeing some rubbery material where there keys are (it's wide enough to occupy the whole keyboard area. you can wipe with some damp cloth and let it dry, you can also take this opportunity if any of the plastic keys still have the sticky stuff. be careful not to lose any keys though or misplacing... generally, i turn the keyboard upside down so the keys won't fall off when you lift the bottom area.

Get ready to pay for a new keyboard. About $250 for a Gateway laptop keyboard. Warranties do not cover spilling accidents. Your only chance is if you spilled while the computer was turned off and if so, that you do not turn it on for several days while it dries out. You should open it up, if the latter is the case, in order to allow it to dry and not short out a lot of the inside working parts.

HURRY! YOU DON"T HAVE MUCH TIME!!!!
1) Get as much Crisco as you can find.
2) Take off all of your clothes except for your socks (you may need them later).
3) Smear your body in Crisco as if your life depended on it.
4) Call the sleasiest local bar you can think of and ask them to send 3 drunk illegal immigrants over to pick up a case of free beer.
5) Unlock your front door, sit at your computer, and begin typing angry emails about the poor quality of answers on Yahoo.

DON'T bathe the keyboard.
That works for regular keyboards, not so much for wireless keyboards.
If it stops working and you can't clean it any more, you will have to buy a new one, and be more careful.

Just use regular rag and water. Get up all the sticky stuff with water on an absorbent towel, then you can use baby wipes....they will work really well, too.

turn off the machine and pop the offending keyes off CAREFULLY with a screwdriver or just your fingers. clean them as you would plastic and carefully clean the space beneath them. pop them back on. Remember to do this very cautiously. you can break keys in half easily.
