I love my Andis full body clipper. I've owned mine for about 3 years and have used it on over 200 horses. I've only had to buy a new blade twice. The new Andis clipper has a LED light so you can better see what you are doing. Also- it come's in a kit. You have all the clipper cleaning tools, oil, groomers brush, and this handy carry case. It cost about $300- but if you look at how long I've had mine- that's only $100 bucks a year- and we're still going.

Any heavy duty sheep shearing type seem to work really well. I don't have a brand listed on mine, but they are about 10 lbs and cut through everything from Siberian husky fur to horses and cows
The Wahl, etc clippers that they sell for horses don't really work that well we went through 6-7 brands, and they dulled after one or two clips.

i groom a high volume of pets every day and the clipper brand that i have found to work best with the least proble is andis. they are reasonably priced and blades of varying lengths and widths can be purchased.

I work for a vet and we use Oster Professional Cordless ones daily. I have taken them home to do my horses feathers in the winter and haven't had any issues. We don't do alot of cattle work, however with the time that we use ours they have stood up amazingly well.
