Not usually, there are very few women that have an actual heavy period. I have not had my period or any spotting since I have been pregnant and I am loving it!

Not typically, but sometimes. Though they aren't technically periods some women continue to bleed one a month for the entirety of their pregnancy without any negative effects for themseleves or their babies. Women can go for months without realizing they are pregnant becuase they continue to have what they assume are periods. This is not very common, but it does happen.

Bleeding during pregnancy is never considered "normal", but bleeding during the first trimester is fairly common. Between 20-25% of women who go on to have healthy babies experience some bleeding in the first trimester.
Of course, if you have more than slight bleeding, or you have any pain or cramping, you should call your doctor. It could be a sign of a miscarriage.

Most women don't. The most common sign that you're pregnant is no period. If there's any bleeding in pregnancy, it should evaulated by a doctor.

It's not called a period if you are bleeding during pregnancy. ANY unexplained bleeding during pregnancy needs to be reported to your doctor.
