my parents have NEVER had a decent thing in their married life.. I want to make it different since now I'm grown up.. What is one way of reminding them of their happy moments and bring back old memories? I need something REALLY creative, because now i'm buying a house for their 26th anniversery..

Wow, besides a house, what else do you need to do? How about putting together (if you're not creative, find someone who is) a scrapbook of their lives together...wedding photos, baby pictures of you, pictures of when they were the happiest.

Create a music collage, one song I suggest is...come away with me..... It is slow and beautiful... get some all white christmas lights hang them up...some wine.... a nice dinner for them to enjoy....and let them finish the night out the way they want to. I don't know them and what there likes and dislikes are so it is hard to come up with stuff. (also this is not ed this is eds wife) I know that I would love that. The lighting, the music, nice dinner, wine, and just alone time with my husband...No matter how old I get that is something I can always enjoy. Being together and remember those times when we got a chance to be together for more than 5 minutes with out the kids rushing in. I think a night like that would be warm and inviting. But, thats just me and I am a romantic.

How about a scrapbook of pictures of them thoughout their years and lives together....Like pictures when they were dating wedding pics and pics over the years after that... Romantic and fun idea. I hope you come up with something great and i hope they love their house that you are buying them... Throw them a party too and take lots of pics! A collage of pics is great too or even a nice romeantic photo album of their years together. Also a nice romantic poem in fancy writing with the pics too would be great...

That's to sweet. If you are buying them a house. Then make a collage of pictures of them, of when they were young all the way up until now. That way they can cherish it for more years to come. They can display it in their new house. Congrats on the house and good luck!

A friend of mine made a photo quilt for her parents' 50th anniversary... She went to class for it, and put a lot of work into it, stitching together photos of their family printed on fabric. The parents loved it. You're buying a house for them? This is awesome; I wish I could do this for my parents.

A nice photo album. A video tape "documentary" of where they dated, where they've lived, interviews with some of their friends and your friends.

You sound like a lovely person.

Good Luck.
