The more time you spend with your snake the friendlier it will become. It is always wise to feed your snake somewhere other than their cage. Snakes cant see well and if you feed them in their cage the will assume it is meal time every time there is movement in the tank. Feeding in a cardboard box works well. First put the food (animal) in and then put the snake in. Before long the snake will associate the box with food and not your hand. Hope this helps! Good luck!

A boa- more friendly, yes. All you need to do is keep working with them. If you are the slightest bit afraid though, they will know and take advantage of that- and increase the predator instinct.
Less predatory- no, esp if you feed him live prey. My snake, who I feed prekilled prey to, will still strike at my toes if they are wiggling.
