February is the best time to go. I visited Orlando several times in february. Compared to the summer months it's not very crowed.
The weather is really nice in february. I will be going to Florida on february 22.

It kind of depends on where you will be. The parks can be pretty busy during that time of year. It does start spring break for some schools so the crowd patterns begin to increase a little.

The past few years I have gone to the Orlando area, the crowds have really increased all over. Especially around the parks, more specifically Disney. It seems like it is busy all year, but it's just during summer months, holidays, etc. where it can be hard to get anywhere with all the people.

If I were to estimate I would say you won't have really low crowds, but they shouldn't be too bad either. I think that you will be OK, since you have a nice lengthy trip, you will be able to get in most of what you want to do either way.

Have a great time!

universal studios has an even every saturday to celebrate Mardi Gras.. check out their website at www.universalflorida.com to see which artist they'll have.

the parks arent generally busy yet around that time so you're in luck. if you do want to go to themed parks such as disney, universal or sea world try looking at their websites for any web-specials on their tickets. it saves time waiting in lines.

outside of themed parks there's the shopping at Premium Outlets, or dinner shows like medieval times, arabian nights, or Dixie Stampede.

there are plenty of beaches here in florida but if you want to make the drive you can go to southbeach which is 4-5 hours or you can go to any of the beaches in the gulf (i like there because the water is calmer and warmer than cocoa beach).
