Depends what your measuring stick is.
Pound per pound, No 1's give you more money for the buck with the most load of hits in one place.
But Love gives a fresh new take of these classics for the life-long fans.
I guess No 1, although I don't own Love so my opinion may not be qualified

I happen to own both albums, and I find the Beatles Love superior by a fair margin. I will not give a biased answer here, they are both great, and both include my favorite song which is always a plus. But onto the issue here: The Beatles 1 is essentially a repackage of all of their number one hits from Love Me Do to Long and Winding Road. There is a good chance most Beatles fans own the bulk of these 27 tracks. But, The Beatles "Love" is a whole different concept. It blends Beatles tracks smoothly into a whole "new" track. Also, many rare versions of songs are used which adds to the greatness of Love. Love's version of "Strawberry Fields Forever" is what ensures love's position above 1.

Have to go with No. #1 - "Love" is just Beatles songs done as show tunes (ie. A fairly odd & expensive show, if you've ever seen "Love").
I'd rather listen to the original albums myself: Sgt. Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour, The White album, etc.
BTW, the Beatles wrote over 300 songs in the short time they were together. Amazing fact.

LOVE! 1 just has all the hits that all the real fans have anyway. but LOVE has awesome combinations of songs (the Mr. Kite - I Want You - Helter Skelter thing is amazing) plus uses of demo versions and just altogether awesome mixes. it's a very good spin on the old albums
