Bleeding during pregnancy is never considered "normal", but bleeding during the first trimester is fairly common. Between 20-25% of women who go on to have healthy babies experience some bleeding in the first trimester.
Of course, if you have more than slight bleeding, or you have any pain or cramping, you should call your doctor. It could be a sign of a miscarriage.
Pregnancy tests measure the level of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in your system. HCG is produced by the embryo and is first detectable in the mother's bloodstream as early as 6-8 days after conception.
Home pregnancy tests measure the level of HCG in urine. These tests cannot measure a level lower than 25, so they do not become accurate until the day you expect your period, at the earliest. A negative result before then is meaningless, since there would not be a high enough level of HCG to detect even if you were pregnant.
Blood pregnancy tests can measure any number from 0 on up. That's why they are more sensitive, and can become positive 6-8 days before your period is expected
A positive home pregnancy test means that you are pregnant.
Home pregnancy tests work by measuring HCG (human chorionic gonadotropic, the pregnancy hormone) in the urine. Unlike blood tests for HCG, which measure the actual amount of hormone, home pregnancy tests just register the presence or absence of HCG.
A positive result is quite accurate because the test will not register the presence of HCG unless it is actually there. If your test is positive, you are pregnant.
Keep in mind that a home test only measures the presence or absence of HCG. It cannot tell you whether a pregnancy is healthy or whether you have had a miscarriage. You can have a miscarriage and your pregnancy test will remain positive for days or even weeks. That’s because it will take that long for the HCG level to drop back under 25.
When there is a question about the health of a pregnancy, you will need to have a blood pregnancy test to measure the actual amount of HCG. In a healthy pregnancy, the amount of HCG will double approximately every 48 hours

A small amount of spotting (NOT bleeding!) is relatively normal during the first weeks of pregnancy, or, at least, that's what I was told.
A faint line on a home pregnancy test does mean you're pregnant. I'm assuming you didn't have to tilt the test, look at it under a certain light, or anything like that to see the line!
I'm not too sure what you mean about your veins burping, though (sorry - never heard that term before).
Congratulations on your news!

When I took my pregnancy test with my second child, it was faint also. It was on a Friday night. By that Sunday morning, I was at work and started spotting. I was freaking out. I thought I had misscarried and I was so sad. I hadn't even had a chance to go to the Dr. I went the next week and they did an ultrasound and everything was fine. They said sometimes people just spot. I would just call the Dr. on Monday and see if they can get you in. Good luck.

Any positive is a positive... the color of the line is no indication of any less or more pregnant. You may have taken the test too early and if you miscarry you will be left with the burden of mourning the loss of a child you would never have known could have been. It could be implantation bleeding, best wait and see. With all the tests and technology out there we hardly give our bodies the chance to determine if this is a viable pregnancy. Good luck, I wish you all the best. Relax and let nature take it's course... nothing you can do but wait and see.

I had the same thing happen to me. You could possibly be pregnant, I did some reserch and found out that my very faint positive could have been due to somthing called evaporation reaction. I may have waited to long to read my results so they gave an inaccurate reading. Its probably best to talk to your doctor or wait a few days and take another test. Thats what Im going to do. Either way good luck!

a faint pos is a pos..the pegnancy test for the presence of the HCG hormone which is only present in pregnancy. Go to the doctor. They can check your HCG level in your blood. At least then you'll know

hi, that can be a number of things, it could be implantation bleeding, which occurs about the time your on your period, and lats between 1-4 days.
it could be a sign of your period. do you normally spot before a period.
take a hpt if it comes out negative do it again after 48 hours as you may now your hcg doubles every day.
