I have a Nintendo Wii and I don't know what kind of adapter I should use to connect my Wii to the internet. I have a wired router and I need a USB/Ethernet Adapter. My question is are all wired USB/Ethernet Adapters compatible with the Wii and if not, which ones are compatible? (It would be good if I didn't have to buy it online, but rather in a store.)

I heard that the wireless connection is a lot worse than the wired one. The wired connection is also much more reliable and faster. And plus, I had a wired router, so I'm not going to go out and buy a wireless router just for my Wii.

Not all wired USB/Ethernet Adapters are compatible with the wii, here is a site to tell you which are compatible and which are not.

uuuggghhhh, i hate those spam bots messages. Well, i think that the adapter u got doesnt work, or maybe, ur wii has been modchipped, and those things corrupt, or hack-and-destroy, the hardware. Advanced users get modchips to enhance their gmeplay with things like free cheats, free wii points, and free game downloads, but they can tear up ur wii if not used properly, so dont use them...... So, i think kts either these things: 1.LAN adapter does not even fit the wii were it is not designed for it 2.The wii u own has been equipped with a modchip 3.Ur LAN adapter may not be connected properly, a common problem;Try reversing the direction in which the PATCH CABLE goes. 4.The modem may not support the Wii, or the internet may not be on, OR the modem may be equipped with a wireless box u installed, or may not have a little hole that the PATCH CABLE fits in......

I just hooked mine up using a wireless router. It is so much easier than trying to track down a USB?Ethernet Adapter. Get a wireless router.
