i think its ok for him to do this, i mean he's not always going to be a young innocent guy as he is portrayed in the harry potter films. he's growing up and lookin hot! but some people have a problem with this whole situation, which i think is bullsh*t! is it right or wrong?

I think this is perfectly ok for him. Once again he is an actor. All these parents that got ticked off live in a fantasy land. Harry Potter was/is a character and that is all. I am sure Daniel did not want to be portrayed as a young dorky wizard his whole life. I mean look at Ralph Macchio how many people can look at him still today and not think of the Karate Kid ? There is so much rucous about actors growing up. Even Dakota Fanning is getting grief because he next film has her portraying bascially a tramp who gets raped. Hmmm lets see there is another very famous award winning actress who played a prositute at the age of 12 in Taxi Driver. Anyone know who ??? You guessed it Ms. JOdy Foster. Gee no one seemed to care about it then. Oh but wait she wasnt famous then. Come on let them grow up these are only characters. If parents are to ignorant to explain this to thier children and they believe Harry Potter is a real person they need to be sent to mars or something !!!! These are normal people trying to live normal lives and make something of their self liet them grow up. And as for the next part of you comment/question yes Daniel Radcliff looks very flattering in the photos for the play. I say good for him.

He feels like he wants to get out of always being Harry Potter. It is good that he does movie or theatre roles like this. I am sure it doesn't spoil his image. It is the same way with mark Paul Gosselar. He played Zack Morris on Saved by the Bell all the time. He never really got a movie deal or anything because of the role he portrayed. That is why he work ed on films like Dead man on Campus and shows NYPD Blue and Commander in Chief. He also died his hair to stay away from the blonde. I say go for it Daniel. Good for him.

right because hes an actor and he wants to progress as one and hes hot<3 (well in goblet of fire he was i dont like his hair now) and wrong because he is an idol to lots of harry potter fans.

i don't care really. he is just tryingt to make himself known as daniel radcliffe not harry potter. He will always be harry potter to me!!
