PC has gotten way out hand. Let's just be nice to each other? How about that? Or at least just stop the name-calling.

Theres Really No Excuse For Either Way around. You Just Shouldn't say Such Rude Things. I live With My Boyfriend Who happens to be black and well lets just say i have Learned a few things. Im going to say that Black people excuse their Sellfs or are excused by others simply because if you go back in history they Were slaves, Whites were they owners and so forth, kinda like they are the Victims so they have the Right to insult those who are to blame. Now, if you have a White Person make a comment about Some one Who is black .... in a black persons point of view thay would see it as Descrimination simply because they are BLACK and once again our countrys history. Its kinda hard to explain but take this as an example. The "N" word is used amongs Black poeple, and even though now a days everyone whos not black use it, some black people still find it offensive if a White person Says Something like "Whats up my *****?" So if Black people Dont Like it Why Do they use it. Some one Would Probably Give you a lame excuse such us its okay because its really suppose to be used amongs them. But Over all, Racist comments should not be made either way it goes.

White people were not repressed and kept as slaves in droves-there is a long history of resentment among african american people because of the treatment they were under for so long ( and sometimes still recieve ) I think we sometimes bend over backwards for other races because we are ashamed of the history of caucasian peoples unethical and disgusting behavior. No one should have to put up with offensive things. Plenty of white people have said offensive things about black people without anything happen and I can guarentee from life experience that black people get int trouble too for harassment

Because it's politically incorrect to be a racist unless you're a minority. Don't believe me? As a Caucasian, if I walk into the NAACP offices and demand legal counsel, they'll all laugh themselves silly before calling the police and having me thrown out. But that's not "Racist" is it. I once had an African American friend get all upset over an old cartoon where Daffy Duck was making a fool out of an African American duck hunter. He thinks Elmer Fudd being made a fool of is hilarious though. I had to ask him what he really thinks the term "Racist" means.

Again, this is not based on race but on education. Educated people tend not to talk bad about anyone, where it be race or anything else, they tent to take the high road. And seeing how black percentage wise have a lower education then whites( probably based on religion) there is more of them to make a big commotion.

Stop all this nonsense about slavery! Slavery is not a black/white issue. Black slaves were captured by other black tribes in Africa. They were then sold to Arabs, who in turn sold them to Europeans, and also to Americans (sad to say).

Most whites, even in the south never owned slaves. Some blacks were not slaves, they were free men. Some blacks owned slaves.

I am certainly not defending slavery, but I am trying to make the point that at one time or another, probably the majority of nationalities were slaves. The Romans had slaves, the Egyptians had slaves, the Jews and slaves, and of course, tribes in Africa had slaves.

The street runs both ways. Most ethnic groups can say things about each other and get a way with it. Your question might of been easier to answer if you would have asked why. I was raised in Ohio in the 50's and I don't know any blacks that " got away with it" unless they were in a large group so we let it slide for the moment.

I think it's unfair cuz skin color doesn't matter both skin colors can be mean to eachother but whites get in trouble for it and blacks don't always. It's probably cuz people are so used to white people being offensive to blacks they don't think it goes both ways. (no offense to anyone in this answer)

Very true I agree.Seen it to many times.
But I will say not all black people are like that.
But i know the ones you mean.
So WHY!!! I hate this.
I want to say N*gga jokes too ...it's not fair..I like to have fun too.
Im so afraid to say the N word and I can't even say Im a wigger without people getting offended.

I think we should have a president thats half white and half black to settle all of this and I think we should be more optomistic about this situation and listen to the white side of things.

See thats just a joke and Im already getting thumbs down.

Listen I wasn't the one that slaved you and you were never slaved anyway so chill... it was our 4 fathers. If I was in that time I would of never did that sort of thing anyway so don't blame me because of my skin color.Besides Im not racest and I can prove it.I own a colored TV.I can't do anything about what happend. Its like the song Go's WASN'T ME!!!

i dont believe that any color should make anykind of offensive remarks! although most people think them we should have to say them the hurt and makes peoples confidence really low! i know im black and yeah i could beat someone up but thats a dumb reason and i dont need anymore trouble and people should respect others equally

Nobody gets away with saying offensive or racist things and I don't hear a lot of black people saying racist things anyway. And if you think black people do get away with saying offensive things, just think about all the sh-it that white people got away with saying back then.
