well, my hub was here for my pregnancy, but deployed right after, he just came home on his R&R. He may be surprised with how you look, so be understanding back, try to help him get bond with your baby(schedule an apt while hes there) and show ultra sound pics if you have any.Dont get upset if hes clueless, being with a military man, you have to realize that just because you know whats going on, how to care for the kids, he has to learn so be patient

When I was pregnant with my first and my third child my husband was away for extended periods of time, the whole first pregnancy and my last 3 months with my third, when he came back I was just soo happy to see him, it took us a week or so to get back into our routine. I would just let him talk to you about things don't ask to many questions, and just be happy to be back together, sometimes it is a little weird and then there is a new baby on top, you can get that weird feeling kind of like when you put and putfit on and your like this isn't me but a week or so later it's your favorite out fit ( i know it's a superfical anagology) but it's a similar feeling.

I know what you mean actually. My husband is stationed in Korea and he won't be back until about a month and a half after the birth.
As for stuff to avoid, ask your doctor about that. Strenuous exercise and dehydration are biggies to avoid. And you might want to start on the prenatal vitamins if you haven't already.
If he doesn't know already, then... you're going to have to tell him and then give him some room if he wants it to let the shock roll off him. The base will have to know that it's his child even if you're not married yet for legal reasons.
Best of luck to you both!

My boyfriend is gone a lot, but usually 3-4 weeks at a time. He should be there for you and love you.
