With playing the role of a harsh, arrogant *&^%$, Cowell fills a much-needed role on American Idol ... not everybody out in the real world is going to be like Randy and cheer on the "DAWG" or be like Paula and gush.

I think Simon has an eye for people with talent, and knows what he's doing, BUT, he doesn't have to be as nasty as he gets....I don't blame him for getting annoyed at those who audition on American Idol when they have NO talent and just want the t.v. exposure...it takes away from those who really have a potential singing career...he's not as bad as he used to be, he actually smiles now...but he wouldn't be Simon if he acted any other way...besides that, everyone who auditions for that show knows how he is, so it should'nt come as a surprise to anyone.....

Simon Cowell is rude, but he is dead sexy. I don't know what makes him so hot, but I like him.

I get to mad at him sometimes but I have to admit that he's kinda HOT! I think when he's critiquing the VOCAL talent of the contestants, he's the most honest and realistic of the judges. However, I could do without his personal assaults on many of the hopefuls. YET...the Kinda HOT factor still comes into play....SIGH

i think most of the time he should just keep his mouth shut..i think hes so rude to alot of those people that dont deserve it.. i mean yea there are people that are really bad and he is right they do suck.. but it makes me mad when he talks about their physical appearance.. since when did american idol become about that?..isnt it about how well you can sing?

I like him... Why you ask, well, he's not afraid to say when people suck. Which frankly this season there are a lot.
