I just start out, a couple of days, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to how I can get better at touching only one string at a time on the fret board. There is also a buzzing sound from the first string E and B string, am i striking it in a wrong way or holding it down incorrectly?

Be sure you are pressing the string down with a fingertip and you are holding it down rather firmly. It can take time to build up your finger strength.

As for the buzzing sound, it may be how you are pressing the string or, just as likely, that the "action" (height of the strings) on the guitar needs to be reset. Find someone that you know that already plays and see if it does it for them too - then you'll know.

They may be able to help you with the fingering too. If you don't know anyone, consider taking a few lessons before you start to develop bad habits.

Make sure your thumb is not around the neck. It should be braced on the neck, behind the fingerboard and your finger should be arched. I've been playing a long time..but what I do is one finger per fret and rest your finger near or next to the fret. On top of the fret creates a buzz as well as not applying enough pressure to the string. That's another reason why you have your thumb on the back of the neck to apply pressure.. Once you develop calluses.. you should have no problems applying pressure to the strings. It will take more than two days to do this. Hang in there. Also, your picking hand.. the pick should strike down at an angle and rest on the next string..
