The show was about 5 or 7 black siblings who lost their parents and lived together in the same house. They had a bulldog named Max, I think. The show came out probably in the mid to late 90's.

It sounds like you're talking about a show that came on ABC in the fall of 1994 called On Our Own. The comedy was about 5 brothers and 2 sisters trying to stay together after they were orphaned. The oldest brother pretends to be their aunt and keeps the social worker off their tail. I don't know if they had a dog. The kids aside from the one playing their big brother were really brothers and sisters: The Smollett family. Hopes this helps. Good thing I didn't throw out my old TV Guides.

Yes, it was ABC's "On Our Own," which was on TGIF for a few weeks. It starred Jurnee Smollet..better known as Denise, Michelles other best friend (other than Teddy). It took place in St. Louis. No, I don't have an old tv guide with me...i'm just a sad man with incredibly useless tv and movie knowledge.

It was called "On Our Own". I remember because they were all real life siblings and one was Jurnee Smollett. She's been on tv and in movies since she was little. She was in " Eve's Bayou" and many others.
