I just purchased an hp notebook with Vista, what do I need to do to get all my programs started?

It has a Start Menu similar to XP.
If this is a new HP unit you are entitled for free unlimited software support for at least the first 30 days.

Give them a call for step by step handholding with all Vista procedures.

Gosh, is there no Control Program to install them, and under Start isn't there an all programs, so you can click on the one you want there? Sorry not much help. This is scary. I don't know if I want to install Vista if it is that much different. I also got a new HP in January and it will be sent to me within the next week I believe they said.
