He's either used to be controlled by her or is scared of her on some level. You, on the other hand, dont owe her anything so kick her butt.

For the sake of his child. Because whether wifey number two likes it or not that child will ALWAYS be first. If wifey number two didn't like that in the beginning then she shouldn't have married a man who had an ex wife and a child. She should have walked on by and gone looking for a man without "baggage".

As a stepmom I know what your talking about... I think the brunt of it comes from not wanting to make waves. If the mother has custody of the child, she can really make life hell for the father. If his ex was a controlling bit@h in the marriage, she will be an even bigger one as the ex. You will find ways to cope, and your man will come around and realize what she is doing... good luck

Well i went through the same situation..My husbands ex put me through utter h*** for the first 3 years of our relationship..And it would always cause him and i to argue, because i would get hurt and mad that he would put up with it and allow her to treat me the way she did and talk to me the way she did. and it always seemed as though she always got her own way... When you think about it it all comes down to the kids because if they do not get their own way they will keep the kids away from them., because those types of women use the kids as nothing but pawns..well I dont put up w/ it no more because now we have custody.... Either you need to tell her or you need to tell him that hey you are not married to her anymore i am your wife and you shouldnt allow her to treat me like a piece of dirt..Weather htey want to use the kids or not oh well let her

Either he is scared of her for some reason, (maybe he's afraid she'll try to keep him from seeing the kid) or he still has feelings for her. Or he's just a jerk who is using you both?
