I sure hope not. They have been having favorable meeting reports here in Pittsburgh this past week. I hope it's just a matter of time before they announce the new arena deal.

I doubt it! There is a lot of talk and rumors going around with the two main cities talking to Penguin ownership being Kansas City and Houston. But according to the latest news, a new proposal has been made by the city and state to try to keep the team in Pittsburgh. These talks are just going on to accelerate a new arena deal.

I am from Pittsburgh and have been a Penguins fan since 1980. I have seen a lot of losing seasons and two Stanley cups. The team is poised to be on another upswing and everyone here knows it. Right now Kansas City, Houston, Las Vegas and Tulsa if you can believe that, have thrown their hats in the ring. The latest reports have shown that a deal to keep the flightless birds right here in the Burgh is really close to being complete. Sorry to all you cities trying to steal one of the best young teams in the NHL>

I don't think they'll move there. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette just today reported that they might report back to Kansas City but Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell says the Penguin's offers are becoming better. I expect and hope the team stays in Pittsburgh.

Well I'd say no BUT they never were considering moving to Houston. Now if you asked about Kansas City or in general then I could say maybe. Honestly though they were never intrested in moving to Houston. Mario was down there for the All-Star game and Young Stars game. He took a side trip to Houston because he was there already.

The latest rumor is that there is a new facility in Kansas City awaiting them if they don't go back to Pittsburgh for an area that would be partially paid for by tax money.

Oh god, not another southern team. The Penguins moving to Houston would be one of the worst ideas in a long, long line of bad ideas.

Okay, Bettman finally got his salary cap, which was supposed to help the Canadian teams back in 1994. If they were to move, why not to a place like Winnipeg or Halifax, somewhere where the people actually like hockey and actually want a franchise. I, personally, don't want the Penguins to move but, if they were to move, it would be okay to see them somewhere in Canada.

I was watching Sports Centre on tsn last week and they had an Interview with Mario. He says that if they move anywhere it will still be in Pennsylvania.

I think they would rather stay up North where it's nice and cold
