When I clean my room, I always do the same old thing that really helps me. I clear off my bed, make my bed, put EVERYTHING on my newly made bed, including things on my dresser, desk, tv, under my bed, EVERYTHING!! Then I vacuum my floor, and clean off my desk, dresser, tv, ect. Then I organize my dresser, closet, desk drawers, ect. Fanally, I put away everything on my bed. Put the dirty clothes in the laundery, clean clothes in dresser/closet, toys/stuffed animals in toy chest/closet/bin, the garbage in the trash, ect. But Sometimes if I havent cleaned my room in a long time then that can take a while. What are faster routines? (Yes, I'm such a neat freak. What do you expect, I'm a virgo! Thats the sign for a perfectionist)

My mom always had me pick similar items to work on. Like gathering all my shoes & putting them in my closet. Gathering all my clothes and hanging them up, etc. Are there things in your room that you no longer use or need? If so, they are considered clutter and they could be why it takes so long to organize it. Also, it helps if when you do get it clean, put things away, hang up clothes, etc., so you won't get everything messy again. Sometimes being a perfectionist can drive you nuts and I'm not even a virgo-i think?

That sounds like a good routine to me. I do the same thing in my room. I always make the bed first! Then put everything on my bed, which is mostly clothes. Then put everything where they are supposed to go. The only thing faster would be to clean as you go, like instead of throwing your shirt on the floor put it in the laundry. But like that will ever happen, not to me anyways. Me room always is a mess unless I just got done cleaning, it doesn't last very long clean.
