No they never claimed to be. I have heard people say that Miss Murder was about Jesus though. I mean it does kinda make sense after you read the lyrics, but thats not the real meaning of the song.
As I Lay Dying is a Christian band, and theyre the best one in my opinion.
Im actually listening to Dancing Through Sunday by AFI right now! (sorry random coincidence)

No. Never was AFI a christian band. But they were a hardcore punk band.
Miss Murder doesn't have anything to do with Jesus, but if that's how you interprete the song, then more power to you.

Nope not at all. I could tell by their lyrics that they arent, I've also read that they weren't from various articles.
