they say that when you apply for a job, you have to be completely honest, but i have observed that when i mention that i was fired from my previous job, they don't consider me, while in the others, i don't mention it, and they consider me. Is it right to conclude thast they think you're incompetent when you're fired? If so are they being judgemental? I believe i have the skills but the reasonwhy i was fired is because i wasn't really into my job before, but did not commit any crime.

Sometimes i don't mention the one job that i was fired. I don't know why i even mentioned that job. Guess i don't want questions about gaps in my resume. But my confidence level would be low if i mentioned i was fired.

Tell them why you think you were fired and what you learned from being fired (own up to being lazy or lacked drive) AND why you think you will be a good addition to this new company.
