i had a car accident in 2004 it was pretty bad. i did get some slight neck pain on my left side. i didn't go to the hospital cuz it wasn't nothing. but suddenly for the past day and a half i have been having excruciating pain on my left side of my neck and it radiates all over my head and down my left side of the back.

can they be due to the car accident i had in '04?

and should i go see a dr and check it out? or wait a few days to see if it goes away?

There are many many reasons you could be having this pain..it could be a pulled muscle, a slipped disc, a pinched nerve..etc You need to have your doc do an xray or an MRI and see whats going on. This way..if its something simple..no loss...and if its not..you know in plenty of time! Good luck!

Possible, but not likely. You may have pinched a nerve in your neck, just twisting wrong or lifting something heavy. I would definitely get it checked in case you've ruptured a disc or pinched a nerve. If this is being caused by a previous accident, the doctors should be able to tell you if it's an old injury.

any 'excruciating pain' needs to be checked out. You can also start getting migraines from neck pain if u dont and you don't want o make things even worse. Better to be safe than sorry...it may be from that or it may just be a pinched nerve or ?? Good luck.

I would go to a doctor to make sure your muscles aren't inflamed. A simple prescription of a muscle relaxer will take care of your problems. In the future, definatly get things checked out. If the accident wasn't your fault you wouldn't have to pay any medicial bills.
Good luck!

go to doctor, just to be safe, don't want to scare you,but i want you to get the point, in 2002 i was in an accident, just a small one the 16 year old kid was playing with his radio. traffic stopped for a red light,he did not, he wasn't going fast at all, messed my truck up pretty good though, anyways police ask if i needed to go to hospital , or if i hit-my Head, i said no, i didn't hit my head and felt fine,so i went home, for a whole week i had headaches, thought it was just sinus, well a week later, before leaving to go to work, i had an aneurysm, and had to call 911, if my son was not home, i wouldn't not be answering your question.i was very lucky, and if i had went to doctors or hospital, they may have caught it earlier,so take heed,go see doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That type of pain is not, flue. sore muscle, or arthritis, get your Little fanny to the doctor while you can still walk. Seriously, now!
