there are alot of ways to decorate your room depending waht your interseted in. You can make collages from magazines of ur favortie things or jsut abstract images you cut out. I have posters and some old albums covering my room. You could also get dried flowers,sequins beads or playing cards spread on your desktops as logna s you dotn ahve an animal or something taht would get into them.

omg i have the solution!!! okay.. there are these things called Wall Pops.. they have them at Lowes, and probably home depot.. they come in all different colors, shapes, and patters, and you can cut them so it's the shape u want. i have some all over my room that match, and people say my room should be in a magazine!! .. all you do with these is stick them on the wall.. they stay on and look painted on.. but you can take them off and move them.. and NO paint comes off!! ha. they're amazing, and they have them in like a zillion colors, so there will probably be one to match your room... other than that.. i went to michaels art store, and got like strands of beads.. they're really like fringes for pillows and stuff, but i put them like on top of my window around my curtains.. like so it hangs a little down on the window.. from curtain to curtain.. i got a color that matched, and it looks sooo cute, and i just used tacks to hold it in place.. but u don't see them. just get a cute comforter, some throw pillows.. maybe a cute ottoman or bean bag chair.. and your room will be AWESOME! =] .. i'm in school for interior design.. me and my friend just decorated our apartment with this stuff.. also, maybe a cute area rug that matches would look cute.. but u can find a cute cheap one at like home goods or somewhere.

Yard Sales and Flee markets! You can go to them and buy things that go with the room. And if there is something that would look very nice, but is the wrong color, then buy it! You can always paint it, or you could leave it so it says, " Look at me!! Love me for who I am!"
Also, there are things that you already have, and if you rearrange them, and hang them and such, you room can look very nice!

go to a store and buy some of those sticky wall appiques...they just stick to your wall and easily can come off...best of all, they can really reflect your style and transform a room into your sanctuary.
