I am a junior and i currently have a 2.85 gpa, and i am working my butt of to get a 3.0. Also on my psats i had a combined 1460. I am considering some type of law major or phyc. I am involved in school, i am in cheerleading, campus ministry, peer leadership, outreach, and lasrosse. And i am Lebanese, which is in the Middle East if that helps me get in lol.
Would I be able to get in?

Hofstra isn't that hard to get into, I think you'll get in. Your junior year grades are the most important on your transcript so if you get those up you'll be in good in shape. You're activities sound very good to so that will definitely help, as will your ethnicity. Is your psat score on the 1600 or 2400 scales. If its out of 1600 thats excellent, but if it's out of 2400 try to get your scores up when you take the real sat. I think your chances of getting into Hofstra are pretty good though.

As with the other person your GPA is weak. Try for that 3.0

I think you have a shot. Hofstra isn't NYU or Columbia.
