Cause my sister lives in Spring hill and i have tried calling but all's i get is a busy signal and she hasn't been on the computer in 3 days. do you know for sure where it hit? and if it hit Spring hill?

Central Florida was hit last night. In particular, "Lake County got the worst of it. Volusia County officials reported that 69 homes were damaged in New Smyrna Beach" accoring to Yahoo News.

Spring hill definatly got really bad stuff. They most likely dont have power at the moment. The winds there made it up to near 70 mph and the rain was actually devestating. Near 8 inches of rain fell in only 2 hours. Neways, the tornadoes touch down in many locations in Central Florida, including Frostproof in Polk County, Lady Lake in Lake County, New Smryna Beach in Volusia County. There were locations like Homosassas Springs that had a possible rotating thunderstorm, not sure if the tornado actually touched the ground.

All I know is central Florida. I will get a map and look at it. I pray she is just fine. Sjjpring Hill is on the gulf side of Fl. Lake county is over toward the other side.

I have not heard Spring Hill on the news, Lady Lake and here in Daytona/New Smyrna, but I will tell you that I could not receive any cell phone calls today due to lines being down and soooo much traffic (phone wise) going in and out of here....Don't panic.

The area is called Lady Lake...take a peek at your favorite news agency...Yahoo is a good one or cnn.com...and then you can map Lady Lake, FL.
