Everybody sees the world through their own perceptions. For example somebody who has been abused will see abuse more acutely than someone who has never been abused. I believe this because this has been my experience in my interactions with people.

It means the church should have no influence on government policy. Unless you want to live in Iran, you should consider it a good thing. Also the first amendment clearly states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.". It may not be mentioned as an exact phrase, but that doesn't mean it isn't there.

I would defiantly say so. I mean, people (as nature) always think for themselves, but may be influenced by others. I think people have a warped view because everyone takes sides, or makes theories on every subject. No matter who you are, you will be close minded also, when you have made up your mind, then it is quite hard changing that. I know people may listen, and put things into perspective, but it doesn't mean that we are "open minded"
ie. A raised christian and devote christian will be close minded to an atheists views, and vis versa.
another: A raised republican and devote republican all for capitalism will be close minded to an anarchist/communists views...

If I answer your question from my vantage point, I would tend to agree with the quotation. My reasoning is this: No one is normal since that status is an unattainable paradigm. Through the course of living, everyone assimilates concepts and teachings in a unique and personal or ego-related way, thus deriving views, philosophies, and theories which are colored by that person's experiences, capabilities, and self-image and which are also designed by the thinker as a sort of insulation or preservation system for dealing with perceived reality. Thus, it would follow that one's view of the world would indeed be somewhat warped by his or her own insight...

No. Not everyone is narrow minded. I am an open minded person and view the world a lot differently than others do. We are all individuals, and, therefore will have different perceptions of things. We all have a free will, and, therefore will use that free will as a mind set.

Yes. There is something called the 'uncertainty principle'. If you try to observe soemthing, you will change it from how it was before you tried to observe it. So, if you accept that your observing something changes it, then you might agree that you warp the world by viewing it.

everbody believes themselves to be "individuals" but this is not the case. We share so many traits with ours, even outside our rae, that we are convinced that we live in a world that is "uniquely designed" for us alone. It is a warped view without Godly wisdom to show us how we are to live properly, that is, if you choose to believe.
