Regardless of whether the person who placed/picked the name is caucasian, black, asian, latin, green, purple or any other it is not right. And, yes it has broken the code of ethics.
You'll be surprised the number of things people do in this business, you wouldn't believe it, what you saw is the perfect example! The other thing is people do these things still knowingly, but yet have an I don't give a care type of attitude . If you go to the DRE web page you will see the number of incidents, I'll find the link, but this goes to show how, besides the fact that one shouldn't do these things, you can never be too careful either. I really like the answer below me, he has the best answer. Always be careful, when you are finally in the business. regards!

i am no real estate person but sounds like the name is fine for just 1 reason. ethically they shouldnt have that name as to maintain a "colorblind" attitude but the fair housing act means you prevent a person from buying real estate based on their race. i.e you prevent a hispanic or black person from purchasing a house in this neighbourhood because its dominantly white. as long as they are not doing that they can pretty much call their company whatever they want.

it fairly is not had to take help of a real property agent to unload a property. you're able to first prepare the valuables on the marketplace and make it seem great. then you definately confirm on the cost of the valuables effectively. nonetheless you don’t take help of an agent, it's going to be extra effective to take counsel from a real property criminal professional. With counsel from an criminal professional, you're able to take steps to marketplace the residing house so as which you would be able to sell it off quickly. as quickly as you get a purchaser, you will could initiate negotiating for an grant. you will could take part in residing house inspections and purchaser value determinations. as quickly as those styles of steps are accomplished, the deal will decide for last.

I don't believe that it's illegal, but I see your point. I've jOKed for years that I'm going to start an organization called the "Men's Council of Realtors", since there is one called the "Women's Council of Realtors".
What would be illegal is if that company treated people better or worse dependent upon any of the protected classifications. It's OK to be a Hispanic Realtor who treats all people fairly. (I'm one) It's also OK to be a Christian Realtor, treating people of all faiths well. (I'm one) It's not ok to be any kind of Realtor who picks and chooses who he'll treat well...

I believe it has more to do with not turning anyone away. You could name your real estate company "Caucasian Reality" so long as you serve anyone who enters.
