Really, nothing. The President's living expenses aren't huge, relatively speaking, and any savings that came from that would be spent for additional security at his/her home. The White House, too, would have to remain up and running because it's the workplace for hundreds of Executive Branch people and very few Presidential contenders have the space in their private homes to provide office space for that many people.

We would save an awful big electric bill, and if he worked for home, we could save a lot of lives of our children that are being killed everyday in Iraq. We might even have enough left over to help some of the citizens here that are suffering

Or maybe just tear down the White House and put up a duplex. The pres and vice pres could both live there.
