The chicken would come first, as an egg cannot walk.

The chicken came first. The chicken evolved from some kind of dinosaur. The egg didn't come first because eggs are the result of reproduction; the protective capsule for the baby chicken to develope inside. For the egg to come first, it would mean that a fully developed creature would've evolved into fetus goo within a shell to better survive in it's habitat; this wouldn't make sense, as being fetus goo in a breakeable shell isn't a very effective way to survive. Unless you have a mother chicken sitting on you to incubate you until you hatch. The chicken came first.

Chicken b/c (like it says ^ there) god created it. But ALSO being a chicken farmer. In order for the egg to hatch it has to be heated by a) the mother sitting on it or b) artificial light. And chickens were around long before heat lamps :)

depends on if you're a creationist or an evolutionist.

creationist-chicken. God created all the animals, fully grown, and at some later point they started to reproduce

evolutionist-egg. dinosaurs were laying eggs millions of years before chicken sevolved

haha! The age old question... the egg would not exist without the chicken. but the chicken would not exist without the egg. so, the answer is the same basic principle as Adam and Eve. They were place here by God, as is th Chicken. so the answer to your question is.... The Chicken. Hope this helps!

EGG

Let's say the chicken came first. Where did that chicken come from? That chicken had to come from an egg. Chickens aren't born from live birth. Which means the egg had to come first.

But where did that egg come from? That egg didn't have to come from a chicken. It could have come from a different, earlier animal, but it was not a perfect egg so it hatched a chicken instead of what it was supposed to.

The chicken is a deformed version of this "earlier animal".

SO,
earlier life form > bad egg > chicken

EGG CAME FIRST. unless, of course, you don't believe in evolution. in that case, the chicken would come first (biblically speaking)

The chicken/egg evolved slowly from dinosaurs. Therefore, the chicken is a general term and there is not an archetype. Evolution does not happen in stages/levels, it is constant.
