This probably isn't a ghost, if it's violent and can cause actual harm then its probably a demon, I hate to say that because I don't want to scare you but muster up all the faith you have in yourself and everything that's good and positive and tell it to leave!! The more light you have in your life the better you can defend yourself. You have a lot of power just being a 3 demensional being.

This is probably a poltergeist. not a ghost. Try talking to your religious leader for a lesser banishment or house blessing.

Go to a church and get some holy water to sprinkle around your house. Pour salt around the rooms of the house to help ward of spirits . Move into a monastery or convent.

Perhaps you disturbed his aura. Maybe you living there is awoke him and now he is unable to rest in peace. I would call a preist and have it sactify or call a pyshic and found out the spirtual history of the place. And one more thing, GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!!!!
