I hear african americans saying you don't understand what it's like being black, so I'd like to at least try to understand. What kind of difficulties do you face everyday and how can we try to fix it?

It's fine for us. But at least now we have our Civil Rights and can do things like everyone else because we now have that opportunity.
Sure there's racism, but not enough to hold us back anymore.

I feel great about being black. Although at times there are people who will give you the looks and make you even wonder why your that skin color. They make you feel horrible in the skin your in. But yet there are so many people out there who want our skin color, style, but they would hate it to be us. I'm not your sterotypical black person, im not poor, i live with both of my parents in a multi-racial neighborhood. Half of my friends are white, and hispanic. And I plan to go to high school and college and not have kids by the time im 16. Yes, if you were a good black person you would still feel some sort of racism toward you. Just because of your skin color. Its ridiculous at times but i get through it.

I am not black but I think it's time for the black people to get into politics and pull their weight instead of hollering about predjudice. There are a lot of things they can do to proove they are americans and act like it. Dont buckle down and say woe is me, Let others know that your are Americans and get off you asses and prove it.

Fix it?

Black people are born to think that they can't do anything
because they are Black. It is all mentality. All in their mind.

Why not vote for Obama in 2008? You can SHOCK the Black people. I wanna be SHOCK....
I don't think Obama will be President because he is Black
and I know you White people will not vote for him...
And if he WINS
If he WINS, I'll be SHOCK!!!!!!!

Black people will be SHOCK!!!! And they will get rid of the mentality and they will KISS every WHITE person and
stop doing crimes and get out of Prison and get out of the
Ghetto and work work work to get their future kids to look
up to Osama.

OBAMA WILL BE LIKE MUHAMMAH ALI, MARTIN LUTHER KING, JESSE OWEN, TIGER WOOD, MAGIC JOHNSON, SIDNEY POITER (sp?) first black actor wins award, that is why many many many Blacks go into SPORTs
and Music and Acting, because They don't know if there will be any other opportunities will be giving to them also.

So if OBAMA becomes PRESIDENT, then Blacks will change
their way of thinking. they will think, oh wow, anything is possible!!!!!!

I have said this before. Racism will only have a chance at ending when it ceases to be used as an excuse.
