it seems always greener, doesn't it? if your neighbors grass looks greener than yours, go over to his yard and look at your grass....you will notice that yours looks greener from afar.

therefore, it depends where you are standing and sometimes it is good to look at your life from somebody else's yard and you will see how good you have it.

If they're using Scott's Turf Builder, and maintaining the grass the way they should.....absolutely, the grass will always be greener on the other side.

Seriously though....This question, as with most philosophical subjects, can have so many different views from which to choose. On the one hand, you can relate the grass on the other side to how we as individuals compare ourselves to others; their lives, their successes, their happiness.....or the lack thereof.
On the other hand, we can relate the grass on the other side to where we live, how we live, where we work......is life better over there than here; Will I be happier over there than I am here?
In the end, the grass will always be greener on the other side, until we get to that side.....then we look over the next hedge, and begin wondering again.
Best of Luck!

The grass is all a point of view. You may think that your life is hard, pained, full of misery, etc. You may wonder what your friends life is like. He/she may seem to have the perfect life, but in reality they're life may be even harder!

So, although the grass may be greener, there are still patches of brown.

It always looks as if it's greener from the side that you're not on. But a walk in the day of someone else's shoes, you'll discover that it's not as green as it looked from afar. Even celebrities that look glamorous and have elegant life styles wish for "normal" things at some point in life, and there are times they'll wish they were you.

the grass is always greener on the other side because there is a lot more scattered horse sh!t to fertilize.

think your life is crappy on this side of the fence? jump on over and see how much higher in cr@p you are going to be. you will wish to be back on the 'other' side of the browner side of the fence but can't because all that horse sh!t has created a vacuum and is sucking you down into the greener grass. hey, at least you have greener grass to eat (fertilized by horse sh!t). me, i am going to hit a michelin 4 star restaurant, take a dump in their toilet and have the flush content piped directly to your 'greener' field.

There are those who would argue that one should not stand on the fence, but rather choose a side. From my perspective, standing on the fence allows a clear view of both sides, and the grass is greenest over the septic tank.

When you are totally fed up and know that you for sure want a change, then yes it is. Because at that point, it could not be any worse. However, if it is just curiosity or an impulsive action that may lead to feeling guilty, then don't cross that fence.
